Book List Of 2007
Wednesday, January 16th, 2008I probably read more books in 2007 than all the other years of my life combined. Reading has made my life easier, better and caused me to grow as a person.
A nice side effect of spending my free time reading is that I rarely watch television anymore. A large majority of television programs are like junk food for your mind. Subconsciously programming your beliefs about what is cool, popular and acceptable. Generally, showing a very tainted view of reality and society. This also applies to books, which is why it is so important to consciously chose where you are putting your energy and focus. As an extreme example, compare reading The Bible for one hour to watching MTV for one hour. Do you think that might produce two different results?
If you willing put garbage into your mind, you will only get garbage back out.
Most of the books I read were found in the local county library, some others were gifts and a few I bought. I also read a couple of e-books, but didn’t include them in this list.
