Developing Good Sleep Habits
Tuesday, November 27th, 2007I have wrestled with bad sleeping habits for most of my life. As far back as middle school (probably further), I would end up living like a vampire during the summer. Usually, having at least one week where, I would sleep all day and be awake all night. The cycle would be that whatever time I woke up, I couldn’t go to sleep until at least 12 hours later. So, if I woke up at noon, I wouldn’t go to sleep until at least midnight. However, I usually stayed up longer than 12 hours. So, I probably wouldn’t go to sleep until at least 2:00 am. To make things worse, I was also sleeping for at least 12 hours or more. So, the next day I would wake up at 3:00 pm, then stay up until 5:00 am. Then, wake up at 6:00 pm, and stay up until 8:00 am. And around and around it would go. (Time is to valuable to waste sleeping like this.)
